Epiroc - Boliden Garpenberg - Tradition meets automation

Boliden Garpenberg is one of the world’s most modern mines – as well as the oldest mine in Sweden that still is in production. To improve safety and productivity, Boliden and Epiroc initiated a trial with the goal of creating a fully autonomous load-haul-dump production cycle.

Today, both trucks and loaders can be operated from the safety of a control room. This also means that ore can be produced during shift changes and blasting. And the operators couldn’t be happier with the user-friendly system – as well as the support from Epiroc to keep everything up and running.

Join us 1054 meters below surface and experience when tradition meets automation in Garpenberg, Sweden.
